Our work is custom-tailored to the needs of each individual customer and situation. Resources Unlimited Company engineers have created a variety of products used by flat glass manufacturing companies. We have also developed several tools used to edge delete coatings from sputter coated glass which allows insulated glass manufacturers to meet edge deletion needs required to fulfill glass manufacturer warranties. Here are a sample of the products and services we regularly supply.
Our Hand Held Edge Deletion Tool is designed for removing sputter-coated glass. It was the first hand held device on the market, designed specifically for the post-production glass manufacturing market in 2004. It is durable but light at three pounds, making it easy for your workers to use throughout the day. The price makes it one of the most cost-effective sputter-coated glass edge deletion tools on the market and it is built in the USA.
Our patented adjustable guide is engineered to be used for coating-removal applications of up to 1/2". The lower guide is adjustable, allowing you to set it to remove the desired amount of material. The shield protects you from debris during use, while leaving a gap to allow you to align of the wheel with your coated glass edge.
It comes with a standard 3" diameter deletion wheel. Wheel replacement is simple; we keep a supply of these wheels in stock. For more detailed technical and pricing information, click here.
Our Duck Foot Tin Bath Coolers are designed to provide the optimal cooling when placed in float glass line tin baths. They cool the tin from the underside by passing water through the stainless steel pipes while resting in the tin.
These Duck Foot Tin Bath Coolers are made from a single piece of stainless steel bent to provide maximum cooling via their distinctive shape. Using a special process and dies, we bend them at 2.5 times the radius of the pipe without kinking or weakening the tube at the bend giving them their distinctive 'duck foot' appearance. Being formed from a single piece of tubing, they have an advantage over welded construction coolers: there are no internal weld points which can allow water impurities to collect and create failure points. Tin bath coolers with welded points are much more likely to leak. We coat them with Alumina Oxide for additional durability when in contact with liquid tin. These coolers are pre-threaded for attachment to 1" hose connections. For information on ordering, click here.
Most glass production lines run 24/7 resulting in wear to glass scoring equipment. In addition, glass line upsets often result in damage to these glass cutting tools. Damaged glass cutters must then be replaced, but they do not need to be thrown away! Rebuilding glass swivel cutters is much more cost-effective than buying new as well as being more environmentally friendly.
We have completely rebuilt hundreds of swiveling glass cutting tool heads, replacing defective components and restoring them to perfect working order. We have become experts at disassembling automatic glass cutting tools, specifically focusing on Fletcher-Terry swiveling glass cutters, sourcing replacement parts and reassembling them. Note that if the head of the cutter holder has broken away from its stem, that cutter cannot be repaired. For information on ordering, click here.
